Securing fair compensation for motor accidents and personal injury.
Uninsured losses are those which are not covered by your own insurance policy. They can include financial losses as well as those related to personal injury.
Every year in Scotland thousands of people are involved in accidents that were not their fault. They can happen at work, in a public place or could be a road traffic accident. Unfortunately, they can often result in expenses (uninsured losses), many of which can be recovered by claiming them from the other party and/or their insurance company. Our solicitors and expert support teams care passionately about our clients’ long term financial and health welfare. The first stage in any claim is to make you fully aware of what you can claim for and what evidence will be required in order to submit that claim. We then work hard to apply the laws that are there to protect you and ensure you receive fair compensation. We understand the burden of financial loss and the problems associated with accidental injuries, so we focus on making the pursuit of a claim as simple as possible. We do not charge a fee for recovery of uninsured loss. We recover all our fees from the other side meaning you keep 100% of the compensation awarded.

Frequently Asked Questions
We put your needs at the heart of everything we do
What is Uninsured Loss Recovery (ULR) and when will it apply to me?
ULR relates to the recovery from third parties or their insurers of compensation and financial losses which are not covered by your own insurance policy or for accidents/incidents where there is no form of insurance cover in force.
What sort of uninsured losses might I suffer?
Under a comprehensive motor insurance policy, uninsured losses relate to the policy excess, replacement car hire charges and other expenses relating to a road traffic accident. Under Third Party/Third Party Fire and Theft cover we would seek to recover full repair costs and any other losses.
I was injured in an accident. Can you assist or is this covered by my own policy?
We are specialist Personal Injury Solicitors. Personal Injury is not covered even under a Comprehensive Policy. We shall pursue the responsible driver.
How much will it cost me?
We do not charge you anything for the service provided. The cost of medical/police reports are met by Clark Boyle. We also have the facility to do searches of DVLA and the Motor Insurance Database. All fees and expenses are met by the responsible Third Party or their insurer.
Are you only able to help if the incident takes place in Scotland?
No, we have reciprocal agreements with solicitors covering all parts of the UK.
